I’m Sean XL Chen, an AI Engineer based in Vancouver, Canada. By day I work on AI-native systems — LLM pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation, and the tooling that goes with building software the “engineering meets AI” way. I’m also into crypto/web3 development on the side, and think the two worlds (AI and crypto) are headed toward each other.
This site is where I write things up. Some posts are technical — engineering notes, lessons from building with LLMs, things I wish I’d known earlier. Others are more personal — reflections on investing, crypto history, and life in general. Both live here, organized by category rather than split across separate blogs.
